what are you doing about your xmas tree and the puppy

I cant bear to not have a full size real tree this year but i dont know if Reggie is going to destroy it, Im thinking about putting a fence around the tree any ideas?

I thought Murphy would be awful with it but he just smelled it and we would say no! if he looked like he was getting too excited. And he did break an ornament, but he knocked it off because his tail was wagging so it was ok.

I have a fence we from Petco we had bought for Chewie. I am putting that around the tree.

Yes, please be careful w/the pets around the trees - my first Christmas w/Angel, she ate an ornament and we were at the emergency hospital on Christmas night with a loooonnnng wait and a hefty bill.

It was like $70 but it comes in handy when you don't want him having free run of the house too. Its pretty big though.

We put a circular fence around the tree and it works very well. We'd be SCREWED otherwise. My dogs would eat every ornament in five minutes.

We have a fake tree, but I've been wondering what Golem will be like with this new big toy that's about to appear in the living room this weekend We've been letting him hang out in there now that he's proved that he won't pee on the floor anymore! never in the LR unsupervised, so we're planning on just keeping an eye on him and enforcing the NO! if he starts biting at it. Also, we'll only put the dangly ornaments where he won't be able to reach them, hopefully it will lower the temptation factor!

We put our tree up last week and Rocky could care less about it. I was really scared he'd destroy. But no, he just sniffed it and that's it. He's almost 7 mos old now.
