What is everyone going to do for Valentine's Day? I have no idea what we should do and I figured that I would fish for ideas. Thanks!

I reserved a table a couple weeks ago at one of our favorite restaurants.... It books up really quickly for V day. (It's a surprise to FH)
It is a real celebratory day for us, becuase we got engaged on V day last year....

we're thinking of going to Medievil Times in NJ. It's cheesy, I know, but FI has never gone and it's dinner and a show at a reasonable price

actually we got engaged last valentine's day... i think he is making reservations to the same place ~ i know he called like a month ago and they were not accepting reservations that early anymore...

FH and I just got an apartment, and my birthday is the day before, so we'll probably have a combined going out to dinner thing.

We have a little tradition every valentines day. Each year we switch off and one of us cooks a romantic dinner for the other one. This year its my turn (and we have our first apartment so i'll get to cook it in our home!).

Oh NO NO NO!!!
There is NO combining holidays...you need to train him well before you marry him!!!
Your birthday is your birthday, and valentines day is valentines day....NO combining, thus basically skipping one of the holidays.....
each occasion is worthy of dinner, flowers & jewels.....
(my birthday is 3 days after v-day...can you tell?)

Last year we went to White Castle - they had special tables set up with candles and had waiters seat you, give you menus and take your order. They also took a complimentary polaroid of us. Very strange but very funny at the same time. FH loved it b/c he loves WC - who doesn't? Maybe we'll do it again this year!

Im making heart shaped pancakes in the morning, I am sending him cookies from mrs fields at his office, im sure ill get flowers at mine, we are going to dinner at louis xvi, and then home to cuddle and watch a movie, or look at our wedding pics.

we're an old [not really] married couple, so we'll probably just go to dinner!! :) its on a weeknight too........and well probably do something bigger the weekend be4 or after since dh works weird hours. as far as gifts, for our birthdays [both in january] and Vday, we sacrificed gifts and bought [just today] a 55' inch tv!
