What are you doing to personalize your wedding? I've been to so many weddings lately that they are all mushing together in my mind! Is anyone doing something to make theirs unique?

I don't know how unique it is but we are blending both of our cultures and customs. We will have a mix of italian/american and pakistani dishes, wedding cake and rice pudding for dessert ( rice pudding is traditional in Pakistan). The music will also reflect both cultures. We're also going to have 2 ceremonies, Christian, followed by an Islamic ceremony the next day. I get to have 2 completely different wedding dresses!

we are going to be non-traditional with our ceremony music. I don't know if thats personalizing the wedding, but it should be different.

I am having my mother walk with me down the aisel and having the first dance with her. Making the music really reflective of us by incorporating cheesy 80's rock and roll!! I love it!! we are also naming the tables of rock bands FH loves. he is so into music, the guests will get a kick out of it! Mojito's passed out at cocktail hour in honor of my new cuban family!!!

That's wonderful, your mom must be so excited. I forgot to add that my mother and brother will walk me down the aisle. Some will think it strange because my father will be there but I just feel my mom and bro have always been there for me so they're walking me down.

Yay for 2 dresses!!
We're not really doing anything to personalize the wedding....It will have a mild Cinderella theme - but thats about it. I think that everyone's wedding is automatically personalized because you can go to 2 weddings, with all the same vendors, but by each couple's individual style, it will be two totally different weddings.

Well.. Im walking down the aisle with my mom. Also Im having a photo montage on a plasma screen flash photos of my FH & I growing up.. baby pictures.. pics with our friends and photos of us together. You cant get more personalized then photos!!!

We want to have some photos of us displayed around the hall. The other thing that is personal to us is the favors. We're giving the LiveStrong bracelets, since FH had cancer. It means a lot to us to be able to give $$ to a great charity and have our guests also get something,

i could help u girls on this: our chuppah was held by 4 people. they did that yrs and yrs ago. the wedding we've been to has never done that we had cry packs. my family never heard of it but thought it was cute. instead of the usual guest book, we did a photo mat. we had a disney them...we walked up the aisle to a song from toy story. we had mickey and minnie cake topper and place cards. we had chocolate wrapped in cinderella wrappers

We are doing the same thing!!!! We will also include our videos and our casual session. Duet is doing it for us!!!

My mom is walking me down the aisle, and since my dad lives in Germany (and is not attending my wedding) and FH's mom passed away a couple of years ago, instead of father-daughter and mother-son dance, I am dancing with my future father-in-law and FH is dancing with my mom. Also, we are having family pictures and a memorial candle for our loved ones who we wished were there with us in person.
Other than that, we are using the monogram theme to personalize our invitations, cake topper, favor tags, etc.

Well my dad will walk me down, but him and my mom both will give me away. Also Our greeting table w/ seating cards will have my mom, and dads as well as FH's mom, and dads wedding pic, Both of our grands wedding pics, and my great grands nursing grad pic

Ohh I forgot to mention. We are having Greek-Polish wedding. I will have children in traditional Greek and Polish costumes perform traditional Greek & Polish folk dances. I want to include both cultures at the wedding.
I am also having the money dance (which is a traditional polish wedding custom)
