I'm starting shopping! Usually I get him a gadget but I think he has all of them! He has more video games than he needs! I think he'll get some surfing gear (new board bag, gloves, etc.), clothes, cologne, etc. I'm on the lookout for a new gadget though!

I'm getting him a big.....gigantic.....wad of nada! We have no money for gifts this year while saving for our wedding and like ten thousand other ones next year. I'll probably make him some cheesey card or collage or something because I can't be empty handed at the holidays, it just upsets me.

Me and DH aren't really spending a lot on xmas this year...we're saving for a house. So I told BIL to get this for him instead.
It's the Bose Sounddock for iPod, so you can listen to your iPod in the house.

We got one of these for our trip to Florida over the summer (we drove)...BEST man gift! I think JT would sleep with it in the bed if he could!

Tim's birthday is two weeks before Xmas ... I usually buy him some clothes, that I end up giving him by Thanksgiving (LOL ... so he has something new to wear!).
He wants some fireplace screen thing from Plow & Hearth ... I need to work on the corp discount we get ...

not sure....he wants to set a $150 limit so we only spend $300....
it really depends...I don't want anything really. He wants some new cigars and I was maybe going to buy him a baby Chicago Cubs onesie for our little one.

This year we are not really buying each other gifts...We are actually buying a Digital Camera & camcorder...They are both things we wanted....
I did though buy FH the DVD set of Seinfeld episodes...it hasn't been released yet but he is a HUGE fan!

We do not exchange with each other, we just get each other an ornament, not just any ornament, but one with a lot of thought, we have done this each year since we started dating, it just makes the holidays more special and meaningful....we figure why go nuts trying to shop for one another, we usually spoil each other on birthdays.

I still don't know what to get him, his birthday is on the 21st too. I want to get something for both since he never gets two gifts, at least something little because we didn't get presents last year, and we are going on vacation in january.

no gifts. DH's family got together and decided on a trip for Christmas in lieu of buying each other something. We are going to Vegas so the money we would spend on gifts is going straight to the casino!!

we aren't spending a lot. I've come to the conclusion that it really isn't necessary.
I'm getting him a new winter coat from Lands End, some Playstation games, some memory sticks, new trouser socks and maybe a GC to old navy... and that's that.
plus or anniversary is 1/31- so for that I'll probably get him a nice watch or something.

Zilch. We decided not to exchange gifts this year, due to a lack of $$.
If I did get him a gift, it would probably be a flatscreen monitor for his computer.

Isn't it funny that when we were all just dating, the focus was so much more on giving (and let's be honest) getting? I would have stabbed DH if he showed up empty handed on Christmas But now that we're engaged/married/homeowners/new parents, etc. , it's like 'Oh no biggie' and it really isn't?
I'm trying to find ways of controlling my urge to go overboard w/the baby since she really won't comprehend the whole 'Christmas Magic' thing...

getting him an ipod since he won't stop asking for one, but his family is going to chip in too. Then his birthday is the day after xmas, so I may get him some clothes or a game or seinfeld dvds. We usually set a limit, like $100 to 150.

We usually spend between $100-$150 on each other (depending on my bonus). I usually get him clothes, shoes, etc. My parents send us money and we divide it: each child, each of us and then one gift which we usually buy something for the house. This year we are going to get a digital camera. We will probably have to put some of our own xmas money towards it too. We are both lucky that we get bonus' at work because there is no extra money left at the end of the week to put aside in a xmas club. My dh wants Sirius radio from my parents so we will have to see. I usually just want clothes and maybe some new perfume.
