Since our anniversary falls 4 days after Valentine's Day, and we are going away for that, we weren't going to do tangible gifts. Though I may cave and buy him a PSP. He deserves one! Yeah, Yeah, I know I am a glutton for punishment!

Then they would need to have a by-law at the YR of NC meetings that would read:
'No hand-held games at chapter meetings!'

we'll be getting our 'official' numbers to house-hunt with on monday (three days before valentine's day). i'd rather use any money we would spend on getting closer to owning a home.

We're going to Las Vegas next weekend for the 3-day weekend, so we're doing a very low-key Valentine's Day. No gifts, just pizza and cheesecake shipped from one of my fave places in Chicago - it's something we both can enjoy.

As of right now I will be working all day on V-Day (8am-10pm) I am trying to get off of work by 4pm and spend the night with DH, but it doesn't look too promising right now. I asked a couple of girls that I work with if they could cover my shift and of course no one wants to work on V-Day. Which kind of pisses me off because even the one's that don't have a boyfriend said no 'just in case' they find a date (their words exactly). I felt like saying, you can't work for me so I can spend my first V-Day married to DH with DH just in case you find a date?!!! What comes around goes around, that's all I have to say!
But if I do actually find a way off, we will probably do something low key and have dinner together that night but at our house. I just want to spend a nice, romantic night with DH . I feel like we both work so much we never get a chance to sit down and talk anymore. So that is what I will be looking forward to if I get off that night.

I got him a 'husband' card & a bag of M&M's (his favorite). We don't exchange on Vday as we both don't believe there is a reason to!
I will be cooking dinner & will have a quiet night at home!

DH and I just bought a house, so we both agreed, just to share cards with one another and go see the new Hugh Grant movie next weekend.
Although, I've decided to make sort of a coupon book for my DH to put in his card with a few things in it that say's he allowed to get help for this/that from me without any complaints!

We just signed contracts on our house, so we will be saving money for that. Maybe I'll buy him his first 'husband'card.

i got him an 'everyday' watch (spent about 100 on a guess watch); an oversized 'grumpy' coffee mug; and a small stuffed animal. i loved valentines day, i'm a cheeseball
