with you veil and train at the reception??? I always thought I would take off my veil and bustle my train for my whole reception but I went to a wedding recently where the bride kept everything on for the first dance/dance with dad took the veil off and got her train bustled after that. I thought it was nice. What are you girls doing??

I will keep it all for the pictures off site and at the NRC. But once we're done, I'll need to bustle my train. I have a cathedral train, so there's no way I can keep it unbustled! I'm not sure yet about my veil.

I am going to be bustled when I enter the reception because my train is cathedral. I will keep my veil on for AT LEAST the 1st dance, maybe the whole night.

bustle after the ceremony and i might keep it on for the first dance but I am not too sure....i guess it would be nice to keep it on as long as possible because you pay for it and some veils are expensive but then again it could get in the way....maybe i will keep it on until it start to annoy me

I may keep my veil on but i definitely need to bustle my dress. Too afraid someone will step on it or it will rip.

Re: What are you girls doing....
depending on the dress i´ll prob bustle it after the first song. As for the veil, i´ll take it off as soon as it gets annoying!! (hopefully after the first song)

I am definitely not keeping the veil on as I have a cathedral length veil - luckily, my dress doesnt have a train, but the back will be bustled at the reception

Bustle my train and keep on my veil. It will be finger tip length.

Re: What are you girls doing....
I'm going to bustle my dress when the reception begins and I'm buying two veils - one really long for the ceremony and pictures and a shorter one for the reception.

Re: What are you girls doing....
I just mentioned this to FH and he reminded me that at his friends wedding the bride kept her veil on all night. It was long (don´t remember the length exactly) and every time someone hugged her they would accidentally tug on the veil. It happened so much it almost ripped out some hair (it was attahced to the top of her updo I think) she said she her head hurt that night and the next day. Just some food for thought.

This is my worry...mine is fingertip length and I will have an anyeurism if someone messes up mah 'do lol
As for the OP, I'm bustling after the ceremony (need both hands free for CH food!!) and I'm thinking of maybe getting a cage veil for the reception or something.

My dress will be bustled before the reception, and as for the veil..... I guess I'll have to figure that out closer to the date.

Re: What are you girls doing....
My veil is two tier (fingertip and cathedral length). I am going to take the cathedral length veil off after pictures and will most likely take of the finger tip length veil and bustle my dress after the first dance.
