FIL's - A mantle clock with engraving on it
My dad- silver picture frame that says 'Daddy's Girl' and has a picture from when I was little on one side and a picture of me on my wedding day on the other.
My mom- a terrycloth robe that I got embroidered with 'Mother of the Bride' on it.
I want to get something else for my mom because she's throwing my shower herself.

same here...plus i got her DOJ, the men are getting cufflinks and hankies...considering we are paying for the wedding ourselves, I think that's generous....I personally think we probably didn't have to get them anything at all

I'm thinking of getting each parent personalized hankies, and also get them nice frames for our photo (or getting the photo framed if they want to hang it on the wall instead)

We just ordered them picture frames that are engraved on the top with 'Parents of the Bride/Groom' and on the bottom something to the effect of 'Thank you for all you've done to make our wedding day special'
We are also planning on giving FH's parents a weekend or a night in Atlantic City with tickets to a show. Trying to figure what to do for my parents...maybe broadway tickets or something like that.
There is a new show on broadway called 'a catered affair' and it is about planning a wedding, but it takes place in the 50's. It has good reviews, but I have not seen it yet. I thought it was funny timing that it came out now.

We are giving both parents a hand painted coat of arms with family history. They arrived a few weeks ago and are beautiful! Here is a pic of the one our friends have, which is how we got the idea.

I am thinking of getting my parents a gift card to Marriott, so they can go somewhere after the wedding ... and maybe also a gift cert to Danfords or somewhere out in greenport, they love it there. They are paying for the bulk of the wedding.
For FILs, I got a hankie for my FMIL and will probably get something small for FFIL, and we are also thinking about getting them a gift card to a hotel in key west. They just moved to Sarasota, FL and really had planned to move to Key West but didn't because of all the hurricanes a few years ago - but they really love it there, so we thought a gift card to a nice hotel there would be nice, they could use it whenever.
