I can't see calling them Mom and Dad, though I like them very much. I may just call them by their first names.

yeah i will call them by their first names...my fsil already does that, so i know they wouldnt mind that. i can't see calling them mom and dad either....although that is what my parents do with their inlaws

I will prob just continue calling them by their first names. ive been doing it for 8 yrs now. His mom isnt the type to ask me to call her mom, though i really wouldnt mind.
I love how she calls me her future daughter in law though!! hehe

As soon as we got engaged my FMIL asked me what I was going to call her!! I was like...um... I dunno. What do you want me to call you? She said that I could call her mom, but if I didn't want to I didn't have to. What is that?!!!! So if I didn't she would have been mad...so I call her mom and it makes her happy...whatever!

yeah, it is hard...i call his mom by her first name, but for some reason it is hard to call his dad by his first name, lol...he seems like a Mr. to me. so right now, i dont really call him anything. i just wait till he is looking up to talk to him, so i know he is paying attention, it hasnt been a problem yet...how bad is that! (i dont plan on continuing this, lol)

this is a tough one bc FSIL calls them mom and dad. . . so i guess i do too - it will be tough though
right now i kind of call them by their first names but try really hard not to call them anything

I have no idea....I really don't call them anything now. I know it seems weird but when I call they know its me because they have caller ID so they always just say Hi Kristen and I just say hello. When I'm at their place I just say hello. So I dont call them Mr and Mrs or by their first names, so I don't know....eek...I know its weird, but we'll see!

Not sure probably mom and dad.... when they leave me a message on my phone they always say hi gina its mom or its dad. They are already refering to themselves as that so that is probably what I will call them.

fh's sil calls them 'mom' and 'dad' and one day about 2 years ago she told me i should just give it up and do the same thing, since everyone knew i'd be family some day...but for some reason 'mom' and 'dad' didn't quite roll off my tongue.
oddly enough, 'mommy' and 'daddy' were much easier...so that's what i've been calling them, and i guess i'll be sticking with it!!
