What are you having guests throw at the church?

make sure with your church what you are allowed to throw- my church will not let us throw rice or release balloons. Not that we were doing the balloon thing but this is what we werent allowed!
im debating between rose petals and bubbles

They will most likely throw designer rice - but i am still contemplating whether i want them to throw lavender -

already checked with my hall and they have no problems with that

My guests will be throwing the heart shaped rice!! This is actually the basket I made with the rice bundles in it!!

palebride- I see you're getting married at the Watermill as well. I was wondering when the guests would throw that? after the ceremony? I think I might want to do something like that too.

My church says my guests can't throw anything due to insurance reasons. I don't like the idea of bubbles because I've heard they can stain fabric.

Our church won't allow throwing of anything - said the insurance risk if someone slips on the rice or rose petals is too great, so we're doing bubbles

Ribbon wands! Those are wands with long pieces of ribbon at the end of them. your guests wave them at you when you leave. You have to make them yourself, but I think they're really pretty. I don't have a picture of them, but theknot should.

I actually didn't care too much about this (I don't know why) and let DH decide...bubbles...and he was so proud of his decision...

we are throwing wedding rice. it crushes under your feet so it you cant slip on it, it doesnt harm the birds, and it disinigrates in the rain!

We are doing fresh rose petals. My church is great. They said we can throw whatever we want to. As long as it gets cleaned up and they have kids there to do that all we have to do is pay them $10 each.
