What are you having your guests throw after your wedding ceremony?

im probably going to do eco-fetti which is kinda like 'paper dots' that u refered to...

if i had a choice id just do rice but my church wont allow it

This is what we are doing. I saw the idea in MS Weddings and thought it was so cute. So FH and I punch tons of tissue and glassine paper dots and flowers. They look really cute but it was a royal pain in the A$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a good idea--I really want to throw rose petals, but I hate the idea of doing silk ones outside, as I know they're just going to blow away. Maybe I'll get the Ecofetti. Have you seen it? What does it look like? I'm afriad that if I get freeze-dried rose petals they won't let me toss them, even though no one's going to slip.

I think it's pretty....it feels like nothing it's so light & it's just these tiny shreds...actually feels a little like styrofoam to me. I got it in both pink & white.

we are using petal cones but they will be filled with conversation hearts so cute, and lightweight enough that they won't hurt!

Wedding Wands....we aren't allowed to throw anything and my girls are in silk dresses and I had nightmares about the bubbles staining them lol

I noticed they also sell little bells that are bigger--I think I'm going to make up a mixture of Ecofetti, the little bells, and some real freeze dried petals. The hall can't complain about that, and it will look pretty. I'm just afraid the Ecofetti is too small to look good, but if I mix it up, I'll get the best of all worlds.

I was going to put some on the ground, too, but I'm not sure I'm going to bother now. I really don't like the idea of silk petals outside, and I'm afraid that if I buy the freeze-dried they'll tell me I can't use them. OTOH, what's the flower girl going to spread? ARGH! Maybe I'll buy a couple of bags of the freeze-dried too. If they don't let us, they don't let us.

And the thing is, since I'm doing my own flowers, which are all roses, I was told that we shouldn't bother buying rose petals, as we're going to have lots left over from doing the flowers.

Just kidding!

They won't be throwing anything because we are having our ceremony at the RH and it just won't work. But I might get sparklers for people to light at the end of the reception. Just for some fun and a cool photo op!

'06er throwing in her idea, hope you don't mind. We did streamers. The photographers got great pictures. They were Mylar (sp). I beleive they have them in colors too. More pictures in album. It was an easy clean up because they stay attached to the cylinder they are in.

I don't know
I wanted to do rose petals. My church doesn't 'like' them but the priest said if someone brought them day of, he wouldn't say anything. My DOC says 'great, then you can use them' but I don't want to p!ss off the church.
I do like the ribbon wands, but love the way petals look in pics.
Lavender buds are a nice idea.
