What are you including in...

Baskets for out of town guests? I would like to make one that symbolizes NYC/Long Island. The majority of my out of town guests are coming from Michigan and Virginia. Can I get some suggestions on what to put in the baskets? I'd like to have it in the room before they get there. Thanks.

Some ideas

Claud2001 included (ideas I plan to steal): local maps purchased at a 7-11 or local gas station, small bottles of Pindar wine. I am also including a LI postcard, a things to do in the area list, mints, bottle water. Hope this helps.

Not sure about LI but for NYC...

you can pick up tourist brouchures and maps for free at most tourist spots. An apple - for the big apple NYC postcards NYC tshirt or other souveniors you can pick up for cheap Brooklyn Soda Disposable camera There are a ton of things you can with the NYC theme!

Contact the Long Island Convention & Visitor's Bureau at www.licvb.com Somebody else on here said they had received enough LI Tourism Guides from here to put in each basket
