So, my boyfriend and I can't stop talking about how excited we are to finally be together and getting married. Well, when we met we were both seeing other people. We knew there was a connection and I struggled to end it with my old bf- he ended his relationship immediately. We became the best of friends and he supported me when my dad passed away like no one else--not even my ex. I knew we were meant to be.
So now he's moving back to NYC on July 1st. We visit every two- three weeks. But now I can't decide what I'm most excited about. We are both 24 and are home owners now. I've never lived with a guy before. Am I most excited about all the 'loving' I'll be getting, waking up to him every morning, all the mundane things, watching him chop wood, or staring at him while he reads in the sunroom? Maybe never having to eat alone unless I want to, the feeling of security, just being together? I don't know.
What excites you most about getting married?

I just spoke to my friend in London and asked her this question. She got married last June. She said the est part of being married is the ring! LOL..

awe. for me the best part is gonna be not having to get up in the middle of the night to drive home all the time. we really dread it! wish we could just stay together always. ..

i think everything about getting married is amazing! The ring, the dress, the devotion of both of your lives and hearts to one another, and the amazing honeymoon that follows

everything....the wedding, the look on his face when I walk down the aisle, the honeymoon, finally living together, going to bed together, waking up together, quiet time together with no one to interupt, cooking for eachother.....did I say everything

IM looking forward to the moment i see him as i walk down the aisle. Im looking forward to spending every minute possible with him. Looking forward to being #1 in his life and sharing all this love inside with him and starting of a family with the man of my dreams.

Me too!!!! I cant wait to say I'm his 'wife' and that he's my 'husband' -- we already live together, so we kind of already have the waking up together every morning and all that stuff. LOVE it all, but cant wait to actually be Mrs. Dxxx

what a really sweet post to start such a great thread....
Now that FH and I live together (we moved in w/each other in Jan) I think what I looking forward to most about getting married is knowing that I'll always have my best friend right by my side. I look forward to having kids and raising them together, buying our first house and taking care of it, setting goals together and meeting them...I look forward to the challeges that life will inevitably present us and facing the with my partner.

I am really looking forward to seeing FH for the first time as I walk down the aisle and as we say our vows. I get so excited just thinking about it.
And afterwards...not having to leave or him having to leave. We always find ourselves falling asleep at each other's houses and I hate getting up and driving home- just want to stay.
