This is such a great idea...I never heard of it before! Probably a stupid question...How would you set it up with the hall? Tell that that love = table 1 and then write love on the place cards instead of table 1?

Yes CC59 - that is how you would do it. Good Luck!
I was thinking of doing roman numerals.....

Re: what are you naming your tables?
a way of doing numbers but making them different is to choose a language and write out the numbers
(une, deux, trois....etc)

Re: what are you naming your tables?
I really want to do this but I'm concerned about the layout. How will you let the guests know exactly where the tables were? I don't want the guests to be lost and confused when they are looking for their tables. Do you have any advice or pictures of what to do?

Re: what are you naming your tables?
Maybe you could still put the number of the table below the name? I was thinking of doing 'I love you' in different languages. I won't need that many, since I am having a smaller wedding.

Re: what are you naming your tables?
you can put them in alphabetical order. Or you could number them and name them.
I plan on doing the later. for example:
Table 1: (which will be our table) will read:
1. After All (which is our wedding song)
Table 2 will read:
2. Longer Than
Table 3:
3. True Companion
Table 4:
4. It Might Be You
and so on and so forth. We'll have no more than 9 tables, so I don't think it'll be too difficult for guests to figure out.

I'm from New York and he's from Boston, so we are doing street name. 'Broadway' and 'Newbury', 'Park Ave' and 'Commonwealth Ave', etc.

Since we're going with a star theme we're naming our tables after constellations and putting them in alphabetical order

Re: what are you naming your tables?
Fh is a big comic book fan so we are naming our tables after comic book places.
Our table will be Paradise Island (where Wonder Woman is from) and the other will be
Metropolis Gotham Central City
etc....

Both my DH and I are actors. We named our tables after shows that we had been in since meeting.

hmmmm...
Either Ladder 15, Engine 4 etc.. after firetruck companies in the city ...
Princess names...... Cinderella, Snow White?? (kind of cheesy)
I was thinking of having a pic of Anthony & I pasted in the placecard and having them have to go find them... That way they get to check out most of them :) Is that too crazy?

Re: what are you naming your tables?
Since we love all things Disney and we got engaged at WD name them aftr disney stuff, either characters or movies or locations, etc.
So, for example, Alice, Bambi, Cinderella, Dopey, EPCOT, Fantasmic!, Goofy, Hunated Mansion, etc...

Re: what are you naming your tables?
Did you make a little sign or something to put on the table? I've seen picture frames on some tables with the numbers on them...I guess you could put the table name on in instead right? Does anyone have any pictures?
