What are you paying for flights to Cancun/Riviera Maya?

What are you paying for flights to Cancun/Riviera Maya?

Flying to cancun airport in March for our Riviera Maya Honeymoon.

The non-stop flight I want is currently at $595 <$692 with taxes and fees>.

Is this riduculous? Ive never paid that much to go to Europe.. and hell, Ive paid just a little bit more to got to Asia.

It IS Spring Break season, so I dont know if that is why its so high.

What do people think of this fare?

I got quoted $1000 Round Trip in May for that, so to me that is good

I am flying First Class now

I suckered my boss into it

Asked my friend who is going there in March for HM and he said $1400 for the both of them, direct flights with continental airlines

For our HM we flew into Cancun on 9/10 out of JFK, direct and flew back direct on 9/17...American Airlines and we paid $600...both roundtrip tix
