What are you planning on calling FH's parents when you two get married?

What are you planning on calling FH's parents when you two get married?

FH's dad and I agreed that I will call him 'dad...' but he's already signing e-mails to me as 'dad.' I definitely have to get used to it though!

i'm sure they'll want me to call them mom and dad.. but it's going to be a weird transition.. after calling them by their first names for almost 10 years

I'm just finishing the transition to calling them Mom and Dad. And it's about time, because for the past 10 years I've been calling them Mr. & Mrs.! FMIL signed an email 'mom' (literally, with the quotes) one day, and we kind of just went from there.

I think I may just not call them anything. As weird as it sounds, I don't call them anything now. I rarely ever direct something to them in that way

FSIL just got married to Fh's brother this year and she still calls him 'Mr. T' and since he hasn't said anything about calling him dad, I guess that's what I'll call him too. FH calls my mom by her first name and I dunno if that will change or not

same here... i try to avoid FMIL when ever possible... FFIL is so stressed right now I havent seen him in months..

I have no idea, I don't really address them when I speak to them. There is a language issue between FFIL and myself so it's usually just hello and good-bye. But when I speak with FMIL, we just start talking, I've never really called her by her name or anything.

It's a really weird relationship and funny enough it works for us. I don't know how to explain it.

I don't want to call them Mom and Dad, but my FH wants to call my parents that so I don't have a choice. I am hoping I can avoid it as much as possible

lol. me too! I say 'hey you' lol, nah just kidding! but its awkward cause i feel like Mr. & mrs. is so formal yet i do NOT feeling comfortable saying mom and dad. i dont know....

me 2 lol..Right now I call them Mr. and Mrs. After, I will prob still call them that or by their first names. Defentially not calling them mom or dad..

I'm thinking first names. My sister calls her inlaws FIL and MIL, which I think is kind of cute too.

This is a tough one b/c when we got engaged, my dad & step mom requested that FH call them Mom & Dad (which makes me so freakin' happy!!!!!!!) The thing is that I dont call my step mom 'mom', I call her by her name, Sue. I dont have a mother so there is no official 'Mom' in my life. So w/that said, I would feel really bad calling FMIL Mom when I dont even call the woman who has known me since I was a baby Mom. And I def cant call FFIL Dad & FMIL by her first name.....so I guess I will stick w/their first names. GEEEZZZEEE I never thought about this before we got engaged!!!!

yeah it's awkward. i don't really call them anything right now. i just kind of start talking. i'm going to have to transition to calling them mom and dad cuz FH calls my mom 'mom'.

I call them Mr. G & Mrs. G. FH does the same for my parents.

I'm not going to call them mom and dad since I never even called them by their first names. We'll see.

we are very close but calling them mom or dad will be very weird for me so i honestly dont know .
