What are you putting on your invites?

What are you putting on your invites?

As far as wording goes....

Together with our parents...
Mr. & Mrs. (brides parents) request the honor...
or Mr. & Mrs. (groom's parents) request...

My parents are paying for the reception, FH's parents for nothing, and we are paying for the rest.

Should my parents go on bc they are hosting the reception??????? I would like to put them on bc I feel that they deserve that honor, considering the amount of $$ they are putting out.....and considering FH's parents have offered nothing, and are not even involved in the planning, I don't know if I want to put together w/our parents - does this make sense?

We put both of our parents b/c they're both splitting the reception site.

Etiquette dictates that whoever is hosting, their names should appear on the invite, however, I can't stand etiquette...so even if FI's parents weren't contributing, I would still put the parents name on there.

We did the following:
The Honour of Your Presence Is Rquested By
Mr. & Mrs. XXX
and
Mr. & Mrs. XXX
at the Marriage Ceremony of
Their Children
Christine Ann
and Richard

Sunday the thirtieth of April
two thousand six
at three o'clock in the afternoon

this is what we did.

My parents paid for the majority of the wedding cost...but FHs parents REALLY did put a lot towards our wedding, they were extremely generous and we felt it was right for both of their names to be requesting

Mr. and Mrs.
request the honour of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
Jennifer Mary
to Mr. Phillip G
son of
Sunday, the twenty-seventh of August
Two thousand and six
Church
Smithtown. New York

My FMIL is paying for the rehearsal dinner and she doesn't have a lot but I think she deserves to be mentioned on the invitation. My parents gave us some money but we are mostly paying for the wedding ourselves (80 percent) of it but I am traditional and like the wording so we are doing it this way.

Re: What are you putting on your invites?

If the bride & groom are paying majority - but the both sets of parents ae contributing - what do you put?

Together with their parents,
Kelly....

Is it too verbose - if we say together with their parents & write:
Kelly M*****
Daughter of

Kevin H***
Son of Mr. & Mrs. H

We only put my parents as they are paying for the entire wedding and therefore the hosts.

We're paying for it entirely ourselves but his parents are kinda expecting their names on the invites...

Could we do

Ray
Cindy

Together w/ their parents

Mr & Mrs. Grooms parents
and
Mr. & Mrs. Bride's parents?

I did the same. But if your parents are paying, they should be on the invites.
