We are planning on tossing both. Hopefully my FSIL and her boyfriend will be catching. Never saw the bouquet and garter toss without them then put the garter on the girl. What did they do then, just take a pic of the two together? I never like the second part unless it's almost planned. :) Would love to plan for them to win it.

Tossing both. That is the only tradition I would be really keeping at my wedding. Not doing the garter catchter placing it on the bouquet catcher though.

THIS! The placing of the garter is uncomfortable for everyone and it's time wasted that would be spent partying!

Only doing bouquet toss. I always avoided it for fear that some stranger would have to touch my legs.
What is the anniversary dance, by the way? Someone mentioned it....

The anniversary dance is a dance for all the married couples at a wedding. Throughout the song, the DJ names off number of years being married, starting with less than one year [That's when the newlyweds are off the dance floor]. It continues with less than two years, five years, ten years, and so on until the couple who has been married the longest is left dancing. You give your bouquet (instead of tossing it) to the longest married couple

I know it's tradition but the garter toss always makes me uncomfortable at weddings and I am so sick of 'rounding up the single women' to catch the bouquet. Plus that's almost a half an hour of wedding I'd rather have.
Instead we are taking the time to dance with our grandparents. We are fortunate enough for my FH to have both his grandmothers and me my Poppop. So we are splitting a song, I will dance with my great uncle (the oldest man in the family) from my Dad's side and then my Poppop while he has both his Grandmothers.

Not planning on tossing anything. The garter toss makes me uncomfortable, I don't want our families to see that. I don't want to call out any single ladies with the bouquet toss. We may possibly do the anniversary dance.
