I just asked three of my friends to be my bridesmaids. We just got caught up in the excitement and I forgot to tell them what expenses they may incur and to really think about it before they agree.
So I'd like to follow up with an email listing possible expenses but would first like everyone's opinion or what they are asking their bridesmaids to pay for.
I know traditionally they pay for their dresses. I plan to be sensitive to their budget and not get something too expensive but aside from the dresses?
I plan to offer to pay for their hair or makeup or possibly both.
How did everyone break it down??

mine will pay for dress, shoes, hair, & make-up.
They also pay for the bridal shower, My aunt actually paid the rental fee for mine it was at Old Westbury Gardens. The girls paid for the food. They also have to plan and pay for your Bach. party

my girls are expecting to incur the following expenses: 1.)Cost of Dress and alterations 2.)Cost of Shoes 3.) Sharing the cost of the Shower 4.) Sharing the cost of the Bachelorette Party
Hair and make-up they can get done on their own...I do not want to force them to have it done nor do I want to force them to have it done by someone that I pick (this way they can go to their fav stylist or decide to come and get it done with the person that is doing mine)

they are paying for their dress, shoes, and also their hair and makeup if they want to get it done. my mother will be covering my shower, and i don't want a bach party (yea i know im weird)..

I don't want a bach party either! My FH doesn't want one too. Swear, he brought it up first, not me. But yeah, we decided to do a joint fiasco with all our friends either like a party bus or a weekend in a house somewhere.
I know, i think my gfs were a little disapointed =(

dress shoes makeup/hair ... bridal shower bach party weekend to vegas (only a few very generous ones who did it without even telling me!)
