FH and I are pretty much the first of our friends to get married, and the first wedding in a while on each side of our families so we aren't that worried about people being sick of getting the same favors over and over again.
What kind of favors do you actually like? (or did you like at first, until you got the same thing at 50 subsequent weddings?
We are leaning toward wine stoppers because we don't really have any (we just reuse the corks) and think it might be something people would actually use. It's also something you wouldn't mind having more than one of.
Any other ideas?
We're having a Viennese Hour so I think it would be better to do a non-food favor. (We were originally considering a truffle-related favor since a particular type of truffle has a history for us, but we opted to do that for our e-party favors instead for this reason).
I don't think we're going to do donation favors. Still an option, but we'd like to do an actual physical favor instead. Any suggestions? TIA!

one of my coworkers hada coffee mug.. one of the travel kind... with the wedding date and info.. and the mug was clear which was cool.. and they got married in '05. and folks still carry it around the building with their morning coffee..

We are doing seashell place card holders or mini frames (havent decided yet) and then little baggies of chocolate hugs and kisses- or personalized m&ms

Ditto...we have 2 sets of coasters from different friend's weddings and we use both sets all the time. I love the practical favors...I'd say coasters, salt and pepper shakers or any type of barware.

I was thinking about maybe a big cookie in the shape of a dog or cat incombination with a donation to the Humane Society or something like that.

I like something useful too....but that gets tricky because not everyone finds coasters/wine stopprs, etc useful.
I was thinking of a picture frame coaster, with a personalized message in it for each guest.
