FH and I are pretty much the first of our friends to get married, and the first wedding in a while on each side of our families so we aren't that worried about people being sick of getting the same favors over and over again.
What kind of favors do you actually like? (or did you like at first, until you got the same thing at 50 subsequent weddings?
We are leaning toward wine stoppers because we don't really have any (we just reuse the corks) and think it might be something people would actually use. It's also something you wouldn't mind having more than one of.
Any other ideas?
We're having a Viennese Hour so I think it would be better to do a non-food favor. (We were originally considering a truffle-related favor since a particular type of truffle has a history for us, but we opted to do that for our e-party favors instead for this reason).
I don't think we're going to do donation favors. Still an option, but we'd like to do an actual physical favor instead. Any suggestions? TIA!

Food or wine are always my favorite to get. CDs are pretty cool too.

I typically like the edible favors.
Wine stoppers are cute, but I think many guests throw that kind of thing away. That's when I sort of feel like donation favors are great - you know that money is going to a good cause.
Personally, we're either giving wine bottles, something edible, or a donation favor.

I was going to do wine stoppers also and we were going to get them from Italy, so that they aren't ones that people have gotten at previous weddings, but we just thought it might be something that people have already I think something edible is great---I htink most people are happy with that favor

I think so---cause it is something that they can have at anytime---they can have it right after or hold onto it for whenever they are in the mood

i dont know haha...i chose 'other' bc im not a fan of favors....i personally never use them....
im going to do donations...i want to give my guests something to walk away with too--but i am on the fence about what....

I don't think you have to worry about when people will eat the gift. I know I never forget where my chocolate is whether I eat it now or later.

Either something edible or something useful. I'm afraid the lining of my junk drawer is filled with well-intentioned doodads from weddings that I will never use again.

We're doing a donation--a camp my FH works at for a week each year. The camp staff consists of medical professional and the kids all have medical problems that would prohibit them from attending a normal camp.

my sister had pilsner beer glasses done with her and FH's name and the red and white design that was on her invitations along with the date of the wedding...she put them in frosted plastic gift bags with red tissue paper. she bought so many extra that we have a set of like 4 or 6, but i love them!
I am thinking of doing plantable seedlings with a poem about love, life, and growth attached.
I also like the idea of cds as a favor.

I like getting crystal favors, something that the house can use. I have never recieved a favor like the ones listed on the list above

i have sooo many wine stoppers that i still have them in the wrapping that became a popular favor for the past 2 years... i like edible but i wouldnt do it because i want something that can be saved so i can show my kids this was my favor kind of thing...but i would do edible in addition to something that can be saved.... i like dishes...espresso cups....crystal vase...coffee cups stuff that can be used everyday...
