My FH is INSISTING on wearing a black vest and tie (something that I really wanted the groomsman to wear while he wore a white vest and tie -- now we need to figure out what the GMs will wear). He's not budging and I'm annoyed (granted, I'm well aware that this is so not an issue). Is that going to look dumb??

FH as well as BM, my 2 men of honor and 2 rb are all wearing the same. Black 3 button ralph lauren tux w/ ivory shirts and a lt. green vest/tie. All of which were FH's choice.

FH has a black suit from Hugo Boss. He doesn't look good in the rent a tux and always is uncomfortable. he has a cream shirt and his tie is hard to explain it's like a diagnol stripe and has pink and tan but it's kind of blended! He might put a vest on for the ceremony so everything stays tight and neat looking.

Kim, what your FH wants to wear is what I want MINE to wear! We only have one groomsman, his brother, best man - and I think I may put him in a beige / tan like vest, to somewhat match my sister's choc brown dress. But my FH wants to wear a bowtie which I am sooooo against.
I think what your FH wants to wear will look very nice and sharp. I've seen plenty of pictures of grooms who wear that. Your GMs can wear a silver vest and tie or a color to match the BMs dresses.
Good luck! My FH isn't budging on the bowtie but I am hoping I can 'change his mind'

We're having a DW and still 'discussing' what the guys are going to wear. I want tan suits he wants light grey suits. Someone's going to have to give in and I don't want to!!

FH is wearing a black tux with a platinum tie and vest. He fell in love with the black and white shoes...so he's wearing those!

Originally DH was going to do the white vest, white tie, the GM were in black vest with yellow tie. DH really like the black vest, so we did that with the white tie. It looked really nice!

I like the bowtie look.... remembe how good it looked on Alfonse at Jenn's ceremony????
Don't get me wrong, I love the black vest/tie combo.... for the GMs... but for FH I'd like him to stand out with the white vest/tie combo. We'll see....

We just the tuxes on Saturday. God, what a relief that it is over and that FH really did have nothing to do with wedding planning.
He wanted a black tux, black vest and tie and lady at Men's Warehouse talked him out of it...thank god. So he ordered 2 different vest/tie combos and when they come in, he'll see which one he likes better. One is Ivory and the other is sort of Goldish.
The GM are wearing black tuxes with the Pool colored vest and tie.

Dh wore the same tux as the guys it was black on black subtle pinstripe. He wore a white vest and white tie. The gm wore an asphalt vest and asphalt striped tie.
