What are your guests throwing after church/ceremony?

Girls, help! My church won't let guests throw rose petals or anything else after we get married! Bubbles will stain my dress and I've heard disaster stories about butterflies and doves. We're thinking balloons...any other suggestions would be such a great help! Thank you!
...this church stuff can drive you to drink!

Not sure I would recommend balloons. My friend did that and we just watched her video the other day and she was saying ' OMG, what was with the balloons?' Just didn't look right.
Will they allow bird seed?

yeah...just satin dresses, though. I've heard that there are bubbles only made out of soap and water that won't stain. I really don't want to even take a chance! I'll ask around and let you know what i find out.

we're doing an herbal toss, but if you can't throw anything, what about ribbon wands?

We used ribbon wands with little tiny bells on the end of the stick.

My church wouldn't let us throw anything either. They said only bubbles, but I worried about the bubbles staining, feeling sticky and somehow screwing up the make-up I spent $125 on.

The wands looked pretty and were cute. I should have a pic soon, if you're interested.

We're doing ribbon wands too. My 94 year old grandma made 100 of them in one day and they came out beautiful!

That is so cute!!! Grandma's are the best!

~We are getting married at the reception site. We prefer not to have anything thrown at us. I do love the idea of the ribbon wands, but we're done...I don't think I could possibly make another thing!
