Maybe you can use Bloomies to register for some nicer giftware/collectibles/etc.
You may have some guests that want/love to shop there and would have no problem with it.
I would include a discount store, like BB&B or Fortunoffs or something for some of the more basic items.
Plus, if you don't get the stuff from bloomies, you get a discount so you can buy it for yourself after the wedding.

thanks girls for all your opinions! FH and I reg at Fortunoff yesterday. We plan on just going to bloomies to get the everyday dishes we like, we will just buy them ourselves.

I found that Fortunoff had more selection, but that could be just of wht I was looking for. You can definitely register at Bloomies for your casual china and also register elsewhere for the bulk.
We did Fortunoffs, but did JCPenneys for luggage since the cheapest stuff we liked at Fortunoffs was over $175 per bag. (we wanted cheaper since we wanted a complete set)
Christine like the new avatar... I have to say I secretly love JC Penny's. You can get some things like luggage and curtains for great prices.. And JCP has everything.

if the people who you are inviting shop their regularly then i would say yes. Because people who shop there typically have money or buy more pricier items. but deff. register somewhere else much less expensive for the people who can't afford it.
I went into their once a few months ago and it was my first time and MAN my eyes popped out of the sockets how expensive everything was on the discount rack. Honestly lovely items and amazing quality but me poor.
