We wrote our own vows DH wrote and sang a song for me We thanked our moms during the reception and gave them roses I had McDonald's delivered for DH because he said he didn't care what we ate, he 'would eat McDonald's'!!! We had our parent's wedding pictures on the credenza entering our room along with some e-shots of us Instead of placecards we made a beautiful board with all the guests names and tables.

I think little touches are things that are appreciated but not necessary. In other words, they do not make or break a wedding but people DO remember them if they see them.
My favorite little touch was my bouquet which had my fathers picture woven into it as well as the bridal bible my mother carried on my parents' wedding day 50 years before: We also used our parents' wedding pictures at our sign in table. We thought that honoring two long marriages was a very appropriate thing for us: Our wedding cake (People kept on commenting about it's color) Our chuppah (it was suspended from the ceiling with no poles) The hand calligraphy on the placecards (matched the calligraphy on the invitations): This was not a little touch but people LOVED the sushi bar at the cocktail hour: The bags of bagels and cream cheese that we gave out at the end of the night. They were ready for each couple to take as they left! We supplied the labels:

I didn't do that many things. But a lot of people commented to me on how everything matched so well and everything was so coordinated. That meant a lot to me.
I made baskets, programs, OOT bags for hotel and kid's bags for reception. We also put family pictures out on the piano at the cocktail hour and then they put them on a table during the reception which was nice.

OMG!! Carrie Ann asked me to make her place cards - she got them from a bride on here - it was YOU!! Betsy (ewickens) helped me make them! We couldn't find your exact stamp though! This is what it came out like:

one reading was in spanish-the other in English (his family is from ecuador and we thought that would be nice)
Petal cones
Hand ceremony at church
candy buffet at the end of reception-all pink and white candy
donation favors-but also breast cancer ribbon magnet for the car (wrapped in boxes with pink ribbon)
trumpeteers at church
soloists at church-not the church singer(although she did certain mass parts-but the soloists did the majority)
sushi bar and raw bar at cocktail hour
bridesmaid newsletter -it was awesome, i must admit, and I made monogrammed cookies for each girl when we went dress shopping
at RD I had made chocolates-wedding related and gave them out as 'favors'

I'm probably very martha stewart to lol. I have made my unity candle and tapers, my ring bearers pillows, the baskets, my centerpieces minus the floral decors, and i have designed my own invites. Can't help the artist in me, plus do it myself invites will come out how I want them to and save money!

We have a few things:
-Trumpeters at church -Wreaths on church doors -Trolley as our transportation -3 guys on my side of the BP (FH calls them 'brideboys' ) -Lots of close family/friends involved in ceremony (ie. my uncle is a deacon and doing our mass) -DIY invites (pics in album here invites ) -Menus, programs, OOT boxes (that match invites) -Ornament favors that are 'friendship balls' meant to hold a small gift - we filled them with potpourri made with all the roses FH has ever given me - our placecards are also attached to the boxes -Card box (made by DH) -Photos of parents and grandparents weddings -Sign in board -Food at the cocktail hour that is specific to our families

WOW these are all amazing!!! All I can think of is that I want my centerpieces to be flowers coming out of a fake pumpkin...a lot of pumkiny things, it's fall themed
