I would just stick with Burton & Doyle's in Great Neck. One of my all time favorite restaurants and they have my favorite desert of all time there!!!!

We are going out for V-Day at the Melting Pot in Farmingdale, but also had considered doing that Fondue restaurant in Great Neck.

Other great places in Nassau we were considering: Franks Steaks in RVC, Meson Iberia in Island Park (Long Beach)..

I'm actually not even gonna be with FH this V-Day - although we don't really go crazy for V-Day anyways.

I will actually be going skiing with my family upstate. FH couldn't go because he just did Vegas with the boys for his brother's bach party and we've got 2 weddings coming up so one of us has got to save some $. Plus he knows I was kind upset I didn't go on the trip last year.

We are actually going to be booking the DJ the night before I leave for the trip so maybe we'll go grab dinner somewhere to celebrate

FH is going to visit one of his GM's upstate, lol.

How about the Garden City Hotel? Ruth's Chris? Peter Luger's? La Marmite (in Williston Park)?

we were going to have dinner at Fox Hollow. Figured it would be cool since its right at the year mark before the big day. We changed our minds and decided to make a nice dinner at home

Repeating the Great Valentines Day Prank of 2008.

2008 Flashback:
I told FH that I had made dinner reservations for V-day, and since he was driving to just follow the GPS. He came from work, was in his suit, and asked if this place was nice. It was all I could do not to burst out laughing. Dinner was at White Castle!!!

2010 Fast-forward:
FH, FSIL, and I have decided to pull the same prank on FSIL's boyfriend. He thinks we're going to a nice place in Queens for dinner as a double date. He even remarked that he hopes the place isn't too expensive. One good Valentines day prank coming up!

How much do you want to spend? If $$ isn't an issue I say escape to Napa for a few days. Disney could be fun. DC is always lovely, as is Vermont if you ski (I highly recommend Stratton).
