What bad situation do you and fh/fw laugh back at?

omg, too funny!!! we just got a huge box and fh thought it was somehting for him b/c i had it shipped to his name. so we open up the box and he gets totally disappointed b/c what is in the package are all garden frog statues. i thought they were smaller and i would have had my choice of cake toppers. hee hee. anyway, something happens and suddenly, we have a huge styrofoam snow catastrophe!!! tiny little styrofoam balls were sticking to our hands, clothes, hair, fh beard and face were covered!!! it was the funniest thing and i am dying here laughing. but it was cool b/c we now have this memory when a lot of people would have been cursing the situation.

Re: What bad situation do you and fh/fw laugh back at?

not so serious...when DH and I were out for a run and he fell into a puddle...

he wasn't seriously injured...just bruised (body and ego)...but I was dying laughing

more serious...DH had to go to Spain b/c of a huge family fight btwn his mother and her sister...

while the hours we spent straightening this whole thing out were torturous...we laugh about it all the time

(I don't know Spanish too well...but I will make fun of MIL and her sister yelling in Spanish at each other)

Re: What bad situation do you and fh/fw laugh back at?

When my husbands father passed away he went to go make the funeral arrangements with his family and I watched his 2 nephews and niece. This was the first time I had ever met his family and now I had to watch 3 kids, 5 cats and 2 dogs in a house I didnt know in PA where I didnt even know where I was.

Within 5 minutes, one of the dogs got out of the yard, while the other dog proceeded to have the worst diarhea ever all over the house, our niece thought she heard the car pulling up into the driveway and as I was trying to tell her now to pull on the blind, it fell completely off the window ripping the curtain down with it while her 2 brothers were beating the hell out of each other. Im usually a wonderful babysitter but this was just horrible!

Back then it was a horrid, embarassing situation although it all got fixed up but at least now we have come to a point where we can laugh about it. My husband says his dad was a practical joker and was probably doing these things as a joke to welcome me into the family!

Re: What bad situation do you and fh/fw laugh back at?

I was doing a production of 'Big River' in Vermont a couple of years ago. FH rented a car and came to visit because I was so miserable. The place was awful!!! There was really nothing in the town and the people were just strange and not very friendly. Anyway, we were going to pick up some food at a resturant. Fh was driving and we got lost. We were in the middle of nowhere. He went to turn around and that's when it happened. We were buried up to the axils in mud. The car was going nowhere. Our cell phones were not working and there was nothing around. We walked about half a mile to a house(mind you it is about 11:30pm). I made FH stand a little away from the door while I knocked (I did not want for first thing someone to see be a bald 6'2 guy at 11:30pm knockn' on their door). A women opened the door and let us in her home. Her husband had a trck and tried to get the car out of the mud but instead broke the front fender. Finally, we went back to their house and called a tow truck. We had to wait in their home for an hour and a half. The place was so dirty!!! But they were so nice to help us and would not take any money from us. I was pissed at first but now it is so funny to us!!

Re: What bad situation do you and fh/fw laugh back at?

LOL Great Thread. FH and I have been together for 9 years since we where 14 and 15. We have done really stupid but funny things. Lets see.

Going to his sisters in Bayside Queens. Driving his 85 Monte Carlo. We stop at the red light on Northern Blvd. on the overpass of the Clearview. All of a sudden light turns green car dies. I never drove before I have no idea what to do. FH makes me steer while he gets out and pushes. As people are laying on their horns and flipping us off.

Re: What bad situation do you and fh/fw laugh back at?

My DH had put some kind of system in his car to make the radio extremely loud(why do men do this? ) It turns out that it was draining the battery and the car died in the middle of Middle Country Rd., which is super busy and it was dark out. I call his father on the cell phone to come help. (would you believe no one offered to help push the car ) My FIL shows up and my DH is freaking out screaming and cursing up a storm. (He has a horrible temper) He is yelling up at the sky 'WHY ME' Mind you this is still all in the middle of the road. Now that when we look back on it we both crack up.
