Banquet hall: $18,360 +$495 for ceremony
Officiant: $350 plus tip
Photographer & Video:$4,000 (hopefully)
rings: $1,000 (hopefully)
gown-$1300
honeymoon: $4,000
Make-up/hair:$350 (includes tip)
BM/GM gifts:$700 (includes mil, mother)
Flowers:$1500
DJ:$1600
Oh my god, I forgot invitations.. $400 (?) maybe we can make our own..

THank god, FMIL is doing the favors..

am I spending way too much, or does all of this seem average.. I think it's average..

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

umm, why am I not in the wedding industry????!!!!

I say cut out the keyboard at the ch hour. Put a nice cocktail music cd in.. everyone is busy eatting and yapping and more the time it gets drowned out anyway - jmo
the only other thing I can say is cut back the guest list

WOW! Big wedding! I did not realize how many peiople were included in your bridal party....cannot cut much more than that! LOL

I did not realize thats how much your gown cost...mine was less than $600! I guess I got a good price...

But hell, you only get married once...may as well do it right!

OK, i left some stuff out..

The gown includes, Gloves, veils, tiara, and shawl, slip, and corset... all for $1300!!!!!!!!!!

Definitely the montage inn the ceremony is unnecessary......and the cocktail things too.....

i am also having a band
ouchhhh!!!

maybe you can cut back on flowers
we tried that but like someone else said what is another couple 1000$ after all we are spending
but just a suggestion

Crystal, check out the books for invites at Party City...they are always 30% off....the invites, response cards, etc.....

Unfortunatly, if you are going to have that guest list, there really is no cutting down I think ?
I know its hard to imagine this money but just be budget wise and good luck!

your right. it is our guest list.. hopefully we'll knock it down from 180-150!!!! people say NO.. and I think we'll cut down the honeymoon.. sorry sandals st. lucia..

WE ARE! I mean we are all in the same boat I think, most of us..Im spending about $7000 less on reception though and about $1000 less on photo and about $500 less on DJ...but in the end $8500 is not THAT big of a diff...thats less then some peoples honeymoons right???

I wish I could say their prices are lower...dont go by my quote ...they are family so yes we are lucikly getting a discount

They do excellent work though!!!
