what can i do

i getting married august 14th. and my dress is not in. i ordered it september. my wedding is six weeks. i have called repeatedly and they keep changing the date it will be in. first they told me any day now( this was 2 months ago) then it was the second week in june, then it was any day now. and now it is the second week in july. i told the manager how concerned i was and her response was we could do the alterations in two days if we had to. this is not very reassuring. nobody is calling me unless I call them. what am i going to do? if my dress does not come in I assure you they will lose alot of business

I would go down to the shop in person - demand some answers. It's easy to push someone off over the phone - not so easy in a store filled with (potential) customers.

I agree with Jordan. I'd wait until Saturday - it's guaranteed to be crowded then. Not to make a scene but the threat of a potential scene in front of other customers usually persuades hard to deal with managers.

yes, go to the store. In person is alot harder to ignore than the phone.

I'm sorry, that is rough. However, it may not be their fault. If they keep getting differnt stories from the manufacturer, what else can they do, other than realy that to you & offer to do your alterations as soon as possible.What do you hope to acheive from goignthere in person? DO you want to wait there while they calle the manufactuer? Other than that, I don't see what going there will accomplish.

ok first calm down and take a deep breath second start speaking with the shop as they do to you....tip: the reason the shops really have no clue when the dress will exactly arrive is because ALL dresses are manufactured outside of the USA usually in China and they bulk ship from the mfr to the shops once large orders are filled so it is just not you but many other brides in different stores, this is the business practice they do not tell you this...if you call the mfr directly they will gladly explain it to you...it's best to purchase a gown in stock in the store that maybe another bride cancelled or did not fulfill for whatever reason but nevertheless now that you are armed with this info use it...good luck....the shop will be very surpirsed when you start talking about the behind the scenes stuff...I had to deal with 2 bridal shops so I know how it feels hopefully your dress will be here in another 1-2 weeks again good luck
