I have a friend I really would like to put into the wedding as something special. Because she will be taking the bar and other things she did not want the comittment of BM - but she is someone who told me she wants me to be her MOH in her wedding someday.
What can I have her do to make her feel special.
OH I already have my readers (only need two and will be using relatives)

You could have her pass out the programs, attend to the guest book, pass out the rose petals/rice/bubbles, let her make a toast during the reception. I have a friend that I couldn't make a BM so I am going to ask her to do some of these things.

See I was thinking of having her seat guest, be in charge of the guest book - but I didn't know if that was special enough - b/c I wanted her to feel special not as if she was a wedding coordinator. This was why I wanted advice from all of you! Thank you jagrawal7

Be careful with the guest book dutites. I know my friend meant to honor me by asking me to be the guest book girl - but it involved making everyone sign the guest book, taking care of presents and I missed a lot of her ceremony because I was taking care of the late guests. Plus, I didn't have a seat b/c my date was sitting far enough up front that I would have disrupted the ceremony to go to my seat. I gladly did the job for my friend, but it was a job and I'm sad that I missed so much of her ceremony...

also, why can't she be a bm if you want her to? I'm in a wedding with a few bms that are just showing up in the dress - nothing else...

I am having my good friend do the salt ceremony, which is an essential part in my wedding. I am also having another friend explain the tradition of 'jumping the broom' and she was so excited to do it.
