I'm doing that buffet of candy (done VERY classy in beautiful glass vases with my wedding colors on the table, and half pint chinese take out containers to fill with the candy). I'm trying to figure out the best candies to request. So far, I'm doing Goobers, Raisinettes, Hershey Kisses, and Non Pareils. If you were at a wedding with a whole bunch of candy to take home, what would you hope was a choice? I would also like heart shaped something, but I don't want runts or conversation hearts (which is what was suggested by the candy 'bar' company).
Any suggestions?
Thank you!

Re: What candy would you suggest for the Candy 'Bar?'
someone once posted that it cost them $400 to do themselves. I got a very similar price (she takes into account how much and type of candy) from a vendor on here... One Enchanted Evening. And her set-up is BEAUTIFUL.
And I love that it's one of the last things the guests will experience at our wedding, and it's so unique. It was a BIG hit at the Bridal Extravaganza! My mom and I both said, 'we're doing this!'.

Re: What candy would you suggest for the Candy 'Bar?'
i know at AC moore they have wedding conversation hearts, i also bout yesterday they had wedding bell type candy i thought they were cute i think it was 5.99 for a 12 oz bag(a lil expensive if you have to buy alot) but they tasted pretty good.. check out bj's or costco for your candy..they have sourpatches, swedish fish, mini assorted chocolate bars(snickers, milkyway etc.)
Hope this helps

What about candy corns and pumpkins considering the time of year for your wedding? Tootsie Rolls are my favorite, also Rieces pieces, peanut M&Ms, mini fruit slices (mmmm!), I like yogurt covered peanuts, sour peaches and grapefruit

I spoke to FH about doing this, now that we have a DOC I can buy the candy and vases, and bowls and have her set it up(hopefully) FH loved the idea, even though I think we already have to much food as it is, I just love the pictures of past candy bar setups and I want to do this.

I know... my mom thinks I'm insane for all the things I want to do now. But, I'm eliminating other ideas to make room for the candy bar and the chocolate fountain. I was going to give each guest a kissing bell and lottery ticket PLUS the favor, but I'm eliminating those now to make room for this!
