I wanted Pachabel's Canon, but I have been told that outside music is not allowed in the orthodox church, so it will probably be whatever choral music is provided by them.

Really?!?!?!? I played a gig at a Greek Orthodox church in Brookville about a year ago--we played before the ceremony, as they were walking in, and as they were leaving. You should double check that!!!

Maybe it varies parish to parish...but I swear that Greek girls have told me themselves that its not allowed (I'm just marrying in lol). I would be thrilled if I could get canon in D...it's always been my favorite classical piece, and I was a violinist too so it was my favorite to PLAY too. I don't want to get my hopes up...but I would be so happy if that is the case.

Pachabels Cannon is my favorite, but when I heard the trumpets play Here Comes the Bride at St. Pats I was sold.
I don't want my BMs coming down to that though and the church only lets you pick one song for the Processional. They said that it is because they feel you shouldn't stand out. WHAT!!!! Why not, your the bride, your supposed to stand out.
