Re: what color
I would say a creamy color...with a slight tinge of yellow...to bring out the classicness of the cabinets

Re: what color
I would agree with the creamy gold, or a pale yellow. I wouldnt do Pea green...Because the cabinets are so dark.....and it wouldnt look right...So I would say the gold/yellow would be your best bet.

Re: what color
I want these to be my cabinets. Right now we have the white oak ones and I wanted to paint the kitchen rust. But then DH said he wants to consider redoing the kitchen before we paint. So now my rust wont go
and I planned on painting the formal lr/dr a creamy beige/historical gold color cause the floor plan is so open. the cut off was the kitchen. So now I have to rethink the whole color scheme again. The thing that stinks is that ALL of our furniture that we have is the dark cherry so the gold looks good in EVERY room but I dont want to paint my whole house GOLD!!!

Re: what color
She just redid her kitchen with Cherry wood cabinets and used BM's Waterbury Cream. It's beautiful. She painted her living room the lightest shade on that swatch and it is a creamy gold.
The two colors compliment each other.

Re: what color
We have cabinets like that and we used The Benjamin Moore Historic Collection as well...it's kind of a very very soft gold...I'll find the name for you.It picks up the warmth of the cabinets.
Here's the paint chips our designer put together.
THese are all Benjamin Moore Historic Collection. We used Dunmore Cream for our kitchen/dining room.

Re: what color
the gold samples on that picture are right in line with what we were going for. Here is the rust color (although this colors are not exact, I found it online)
Our biggest problem is that the FDR/FLR connect with the foyer and its just such an open floor plan where they share the same wall, I wanted it all to be the same color gold. But I see how nice the gold/cream looks against the dark cabinets so I want the kitchen the same color too.
Can anyone suggest another color that will go with the gold/cream but be used for the foyer and flow into 2 other rooms? Can I just use a different SHADE of gold/cream?
THANKS SO MUCH - Im ready to call in a professional!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: what color
We had exactly the same problem...we have an open floor plan as well!our interior designer chose the colors above so that it's such a slight difference of color in the rooms that it's not shocking...but there is a difference,
It was tricky, but our painter figured out where to start and stop some colors...like we have a square column (not a white decorative coloumn, but one that has regular sheetrock on it...one side of the column is one color, and the other side is another color (one side is the sun room, the other side is the living room).
Like I said, the color variations are so slight, it's like they all blend into each other.
