What Color?

My color scheme is Ivory and black with purple. My bm dress are eggplant purple, I want the guys to wear a black Tux but FH and I can't decide on what color shirts for the guys. I said white or Ivory and he says purple but Im afraid that the purple might be off or look dif in pics so the only thing purple I wanted the guys to wear are their ties. FH thinks that black suits and white shirts look to much like a waiter so he is dead set on not doing that

Any ideas or pics that can help would be appreciated.

i think white or ivory shirts with purple ties and vests will look awesome! my brother's wedding is saturday and his color scheme is purple and black. ill post pics of the tuxes afterwards (we havent seen them yet!)

I agree with FH here...and I like the purple vests or if you have to do an Ivory shirt.

I think a white or ivory shirt would look good on the guys. Purple shirts might be too much purple, but that's JMO. Our colors r eggplant and ivory too ;)

I actually like the whole purple shirt and black tie thing, a bit untroditional, but very cool and chic.
I would just take a swatch of girl's dresses and check some men stores out. some have such a huge array of shirts in different colors that there should be one that looks the same

WOW! So glad, I read this, this was my dilemma also, with the same exact colors...

...we're doing black suits, white shirts and purple ties and vests. I've seen and it looks nice.

...Also, what are you BMs wearing? I'm still stuck on that part...

if your dress is ivory you should use ivory shirts with a purple tie. i don't really like the idea of the purple vest. but i think you will need to see it in person before making a final decision

I agree have the ties purple
