I do all white with all red and silver bulbs with red ribbon and red pointsetta with a precious moments angel on top (which has my new married name on it)

we just went to target today and bought white lights for our FIRST tree together!! I'm so excited to get one next weekend and decorate it

I was going to put 700 but the extra 100 weren't working.

We do all colored....but for interest, we use differnt sized lights. Looks very pretty.
I like to have a lot of different ornaments that I've collected from places over the years.

Color. It just reminds me of being a kis with colors. Although I do love white. I would love to do a white tree with blue lights. I always liked that too.

I do color... I collect swarovski ornaments, and I love the prisms they produce, they go on the top, my son enjoys the colors, and I have clear plastic stars do he feels like a big boy..lol.. as well as all the christmas ornaments we have gotten or collected through the years.. I love to decorate the tree, and with kids, its so cute to have the little one help!!

All color, lots and lots of lights. FH and I don't have that many lights since we just got our tree last year (before that we had a mini tree that needed only one strand). But at my FILs house, FH makes sure they use 1000-1200 lights

I am one of those anal people who cant mix colors. My house is all earthtones so I bought all white light with gold, bronze and earthy balls. DH said what about red and green. I was like are you kidding me they dont match. Hes not so happy but when its done it will look great.

Last year we bought a 7½ tree with white lights on them already. Me and my husband are not good at putting the lights on and its one less thing to put on.

We decorate the tree with polished and unpolished gold, red and green (a pale green) balls and some other ornaments.

And this year, my mom's tradition is to get a new dated ornament and so I'm starting the tradition too. I'd started collecting Lenox yearly snowflake ornaments (because I want them to consistent). Here's the one I purchased for this year

I love colored lights. i think white is nice on accent trees, but on the big one, you have to have colors! We have 1500 lights on our big tree (at my mom's house).

We are doing all white this year to symbolize FH & my new life together & also to stick with the 'wedding' theme
