What color shoes...

What color shoes...

would be ok with this dress? I am letting my MOH's pick their shoes - whatever they feel comfortable in. But, since we went with this color dress (in case it doesn't show up that well, it's called Amythyst - a deep purple - more blueish than violet), I was thinking probably the only color they could really go with would be dyed to match. One of my MOH's thinks that silver might work. What do you guys think? What about a darker silver?

I definitely think silver would work. Dyed to match would also work, but if you are looking to save your BMs a few bucks, let them wear silver. It will look beautiful either way though because it's a beautiful dress!

Dark silver sounds nice but I would probably do dyables.

Most dyable places dye the shoes for free...don't they?

I don't know. One of BM was just a wedding and she had to pay $39 to get the shoes dyed! She is so ****ed off because she doesn't even like the shoes at all and will never wear them again.

I don't think they are worried so much about the cost of dyeing them as much as the fact that, at least if they are silver, there might be a chance for wearing them again. At least, that's how I would feel. So, I guess maybe I'll tell them to take a look and see what they find. The other problem - well, not problem but could look weird, is that one lives in NYC, the other in Rochester, so they probably won't shop together and I am a little worried that one might get one shade of silver, the other a different. but, I guess since it's a pretty long dress, they won't be seen too much anyway.
