What color should I pick? now with pics - sorry!

i was having issues posting the pics. in this post is the curtain color, and the tapestry is a few posts down. thanks!!

here are some pictures that i took of the curtains and tapestries at the vanderbilt mansion. any ideas about what color i could use as my main color that would blend with or complement these colors? i was thinking of either going with the actual color of the curtains, which is a crimson red. or maybe a pale pink...

Since your wedding is in May, I think I would go with the pale pink. Also, maybe the Vanderbilt has pictures of previous receptions with various color schemes.

I agree with the pink. Your other alternatives would to pick up the light color green in the tapestry leaves or the pale butter almost yellow color.

my girldfriend is getting married there as well and she is doing a wine color.

I would do the pink though, I love pink !!

We got married there in october. We did the table linens in white with the gold/ivory napkins had white roses as centerpieces. My girls dresses were a champagne color. The flowers were a fall - orange color.

Having seen the room and been there.
Pink would definitely look great.
The curtains and tapestry do not overtake the room at all since it is high ceilings and the walls are a nuetral color you can go with any color.

I think that sounds great. I think an gold/ivory for table linens would complement beautifully. And the girl dresses go with it as well with the champagne color. As soon as I saw the tapestry you posted, I thought of those colors...Weezie..your pics must have come out beautifully.
