What color vest should groom wear under his tux?

Can anyone post pics of white or black vests underst tuxes or of their bridal party in their tuxes?

I much prefer white vests and long ties for a groom, though I think it depends on the formality of your wedding. Day vs. night. Black tie vs. informal. I bet if you do a search, there are tuxedo guides that can help you with that. My parents got married at high noon on a Sunday and the men wore cutaways with ascots and top hats. It was awesome looking but times do change. FH will wear a white vest (full vest - not one of those that have no back) and a long white tie. His groomsmen will wear the same tuxes with black ties and vests. I don't want them matching colors with the girls dresses, IMO it looks too prom-ish.

White looks best, in my opinion, my only complaint is it does not show up that great in photos. My MOH's Thank you pic, it's hard to see the vest.

Keep in mind that that picture was taken outside. That may be why you cant see the vest well. Our wedding will be indoors at night (FH DID want an outside spring wedding - I didn't) so it may show up better. Ya never know!

fh is wearing a white vest to match me (so is my dad)
best man is wearing same color as moh (periwinkle) and the rest of the bridal party is matching their color (celadon)

someone mentioned it looks prom-ish ... never thought of that but i think we'll stick w/ it anyway
