What comes first?

Should I look and buy my headpiece/veil or should I go for a hair trial and figure out how I am wearing my hair?
How did you girls do it?

I havent done either yet but I am gonna have my hair trial the same day I am going to pick out my veil so I know exactly how it will look...

If you get your veil and headpiece first you may be limited on how you can do your hair... JMO

I would get head piece first so you can bring with you to the Hair trial
that is what i am doing

I'd think you should pick a headpiece that you like and then go for your hair trial with it.

I did hair first. But I will go back and get it done again with veil and headpiece jsut to make sure I like the overall look.

I picked my headpiece when I ordered my gown, b/c I wanted to be sure that they would match.
I didn't think about hairstyles until after the headpiece was ordered. I searched magazines and websites for styling ideas that would work w/the type of headpiece that I ordered.

I never thought about doing it backwards, (ie, choosing the hairstyle first) but I just think that would make it harder.

I did the headpiece first. I think it's important to find one that will fit your head, not your hairstyle. Your hair can change but your head can't.

Headpiece first! This way your hairstylist can work with it! You don't want to fall in love with a style and then your head piece looks terrible. JMO.

I agree with both. IF you know what you want - gwet the headpiece first so you have it for the trial. If you have no idea what you want, it is better to try different things first.

I think I will get the headpiece/veil first b/c I know what I want.

My hairstylist needed me to have my veil and headpiece for the hair trial so I def think you should be them before the trial.

Ask your hairstylist for suggestions.

I did headpiece first then style.
Editted to say: You need to consider your hair style in that you don't want to order a bun wrap headpiece unless you KNOW you want to wear your hair in a bun. But more general stuff you are fine with.

I got my headpiece first but I had a basic idea of how I wanted my hair. I think you should think about that first. Try to get an idea of how you want your hair...up, half up, down, in a bun. Then get the headpiece and bring it with you to your hair trial so you can get the exact look you want.

Except for bun wraps - most headpieces seem adaptable to most hair styles. I sort of knew how I wanted to wear my hair and found a headpiece that matched my dress.

The stylist who's doing my hair said I MUST have the headpiece and veil with me for the trial.
