what could it be\/ health related

i woke up this morning with pain in my neck- then as the day progressed i realized it wasnt my neck exactly- but actually something different... it hurts in my throat area-neck- BUT more in the gland/tonsil region. it does NOT hurt when I swollow- but it does hurt when i touch my neck area- (like where a choke necklace would fall)
It is painful- but only when i move a certain way or touch it..
What could it be?
Cyst?
Thyroid?
Allergies causing swollen glands?
something else

that sounds like swollen glands to me - i would say if it still bothers you tomorrow, go see a doctor

sounds like swollen glands, or lymph nodes could be allergies, could be infection. I'd see a doc just in case

thanks- i think i have to go to doctor this week- it is pretty painful, yet not when i swollen like it normally does when i have a sore throat...hmmmm
