Same as Stef- but not as much stuff. I have 8 BMs so I cannot get as much. But the robes from thegap.com are really nice.

Can I ask how much $ everyone is spending per person or is that too personal? I have 2 MOH, 2 Best men, 4 BM, 5 GM, 3 FG and 1 RB and there is no way in hell I think I could afford to buy stuff from Tiffany's - I wish I could!! Already I'm budgeting $550 for them.

I already got the BM's $50 Bath & Body gift certificates because i have a friend who works there and got 40% off. One MOH I got a bath robe, bath salts, lotion, etc from BBW and I got a big rectangle basket with a lining that I'm going to embroider her name on. I was thinking of doing smaller baskets or tote bags for the other girls and embroider there names too and the wedding date. I also got little photo albums and figured since i have a year I would take pictures of me and them and put it in the albums. Also I got these little purse things from Ulta with mini OPI nail polish in them - only $2.50 for each one. I have no ideas for the GM's . The RB i was getting the train bank- he LOVES trains. I saw for the FG a cute purse with earings and necklace on the knot that i'm thinking about.

My Fh spent a little less than $200 for his groomsmen. If you count their gifts, the show, lunch and the cost of hair the morning of, Im way over $300 for my bridesmaids. (thats each)

PS: When it comes to this arena, I have very strong feeling that if you are having a big wedding and you have a supportive bridal party who has spent a lot on you and your wedding - you owe them a nice gift in return. If it were a choice for me between good gifts for the party or a limo/extra flowers/etc.., I would get the gifts.

sonicstef - I love the idea. My date is 5/25/03, andI'm thinking a Saturday in April. thanks so much for the idea I was looking for something different. I picked 'i love u, you're perfect, now change'. All my BM are married. We'll do dinner afterewards....I know a great prix fixe French restaurant in the neighbourhood.

Dubliner...I got discount show tickets at www.hitshowclub.com - the tickets I got were $90 through ticket master, but only $54 using their discount code! I don't know if they have that show but they may - it changes every two weeks.

I made baskets for each girl that included a Tiffany silver beaded bracelet, and a ton of spa-related things from Bath and Body works.
For my sister (MOH) I also blew up a favorite childhood pic of us, put it in a 2 part frame, and added an 'IOU' note in the opening for the other frame, so she can put a picture of her and I from the wedding day.
I would have loved to pay for their hair the day of the wedding but I just can't afford it.

Okay, I am a little worried now!
I was planning to rent out a manicure shop that my BMs and I love- for the very big bridal party -and pay for them all to have manicures and pedicures and have champagne and treats (choc covered strawberries, etc), etc. I spoke to the owner and it will be reasonably priced. But it sounds like that is not enough! should i be giving them a gift as well???????

I got each of my BMs the necklace below. It has earrings with it (diamon studs) but neither of my 3 BMs have their ears pierced. I will also get my MOH a jewlery box. I'm going to have their make up done the day of also.

We have gotten the Jr.BM, ring bearer or GM their gifts yet. It will be jewelry for the Jr.BM and maybe for the ring bearer. The GM will most likely get gift certificates to Guitar Center (both musicians) and something else.

I'm paying for all the girls to get their hair done but I don't know what else to get for them. With all your great ideas, I still don't know. AAAAhhhhhhhh!

KC - do what you can afford - what you have planned sounds sweet, and what's more important is that your BP sees that you appreciate all of their efforts.

kc- your idea sounds perfect to me, as a 4 x bm.

i agree with teri, letting them know you appreciate the time and effort is worth more than any robe. dont get me wrong gifts are nice!! i'd love any of the gifts mentioned here. but i think if you took the time to write each of them a special little note that you personalized... they'd love it. your budget is your budget. dont apologize for it. do what you can do and dont stress!!

KC - I think your gift is very thoughtful and really different. I really do not think you need to add anything. If you feel you must, why no go along the theme and get them all a small nail emergency repair kit or manicure set.


I am geeting my BM all black shawls to wear with their dress (simple so they can be work again). I have to get something else. I was thinking the Coach cosmetic bag with some goodies. The GM are getting three month subscription to beer of the month and a personalized beer mug. About $100-110 each.

The male readers are getting personalized baseball bats and the female reader ????. I am thinking maybe the coach bag as well.

Still working on the parents gift.

I was thinking about making a basket full of goodies for each.
I can find baskets relatively cheap at TJ MAXX.
Then fill it w/things each individual BM will like.

Like for one, I know all she really wants is candles, poupourri(sp?), lotions, oils. So I will make hers a 'pamper yourself' basket.

One thing that will be consistent in all the baskets is Candles and a small bottle of their favorite perfume (like a mini-bottle - you could get these at Tri-County for a few bucks)

The baskets could be very inexpensive or extravagant, whichever way you want it to go.

Besides the basket, I'm getting them all jewelry for the wedding, b/c I want them to have the same, and I'm paying for the hair/makeup of my 3 MOH.

I would also like to get my each BM something different that each of them would like. One girl might like makeup and another might like candles and perfume.

Ok, so at least now I'm getting more ideas. I want to get each one a few little things. I like your ideas lizlen2003. The basket is a cute idea. Some of the items will be similar and some totally different.
