What did everyone (use) or will use to hold their envelopes?

we're thinking either one of those mailboxes or 'wedding cake' card boxes....

where did you purchase (whatever you are using)?

We are actually using a 'real' mailbox. We are taking my FI's grandfather's mailbox (he made it years ago out of stainless steel) and we are going to decorate it.

I am using the mailbox. I think at Fanasty Land it cost $25 to rent but you have to leave a $75 deposit which you get back. Maybe someone in your family can make one I don't think that it is hard.

My FMIL is making me a bag to hold them in out of my shawl for my dress. I don't want to use the shawl, so she suggested that and I love the idea! I probably won't carry it around though.

I bought a white wedding mailbox at Michaels for $19.99 and we're going to decorate it. My aunt is also making a money bag to put the envelopes in later on (I don't wantb to walk around with the bag)

i made my own cakebox, out of 3 square boxes and silk rose petals... People thought it was an actual cake :-)

I am making a card drop box from a wood chest, and I will also have a card bag for cards people hand to us directly, and will put them in the box as well.

I'm either going to get the mailbox from Michaels and decorate it and paint it to match favors... or make a wedding cake box. (if i get lazy ill buy a box already made)

Im glad you asked this question..Ive been trying to figure out what to do as well. Liliian vernon has a cake box that is 24.95, its personalized and pretty cute. My mom wants toi make me a basket, but I dont know how safe that is having the envelopes out in teh open.

Patchogue Floral has all different card holders you can rent, but my FH is building a small wooden relica of the white church we are getting married in. I figure we can just cut a hole in it and use it as a bird house after we get married.

I am renting a heart shaped bird cage for the envelopes. I got it from Enchanted Florist in Lindenhurst. It was $50 I think, and they decorate it with your color flowers and ribbons. it has a stand and is probably 5' tall. It's reall beautiful, and once I saw it I had to ahve it!!

my mom made a bag for my brother's wedding so i'm going to carry on the tradition and use that.

FI aunt made a mailbox for her son's wedding last year, she said me and FSIL can use it for our day! You could probaly make one, they sell plain ones in teacher stores(they already white) and you can jst decorate the rest!

My cousin had a little trunk made for us with a lock that has our names date and hydreangas on it!

I bought the lillian vernon cake box, it was 29.99 when i bought it, but i think it went down to 24.99.
