What did everyone (use) or will use to hold their envelopes?

we're thinking either one of those mailboxes or 'wedding cake' card boxes....

where did you purchase (whatever you are using)?

My mom made me a money bag which is still useful after the wedding. I was uncomfortable with the idea of a mailbox because the only place we could put it was near the bathroom and I rather keep the envelopes with me or my grandmother.

we are having a beach/nautical themed wedding so i will be using a lobster trap for the cards.

We bought a wooden unfinished chest that we are goign to paint white and stencil with silver paint. A hole will be slit in teh side for the cards to be put in.

We used a treasure box that we rented from Fantasyland in Patchogue. Worked out great.

I'm doing a decorated bag and having my mom probably hold on to it.

-I heard some horror stories of the pretty boxes walking away...

I got a bird cage off of Ebay for 4 bucks, an old antique looking one that is in the shape of a house.

I spray painted it white and I'm going to decorate it with some ivy and silk flowers.

we bouoght an old birdcage in the shape of a church at a street fair. since we're not getting married in a church i figured at least having a church there will make my mom happy, right?

are you serious that people walk off with this stuff? what kind of a monster would do that?
