I sent out a mass email to a bunch of travel agents- some of whom are LIW vendors. One TS told me that the hotel I suggested was a 'dump' and anyone who would give me a quote for it doesn't know what they are selling. Another one emailed me with 'Hi (insert name of other TA here) SHE SENT IT TO US ALSO!! I will not respond to her!!'
Um, IS IT WRONG TO ASK VENDORS FOR QUOTES?!?!?! fm me if you would like to know who these travel agents are.
ETA: If anyone has a GOOD travel agent, please tell me about them!

That is messed up, I am sorry Rebecca! I was actually coming on here to recommend my TA but I see Dina beat me to it! I love her (and in addition to Dina, SFP0214 used her as well and a few other girls). She is seriously super sweet! Hayley's email Good luck!

Wow how rude!!!! You did nothing to deserve that. I always use BCC when sending mass emails this way they can't see who else got the email.

Ah, maybe not using the BCC was my faux pas!
I have gotten some very nice, professional responses, so I will be dealing with those vendors.

I'm sorry to hear you had nasty responses. I wonder who the TA were that did that. hmmm. We're using John from MAS Travel. We've been happy so far. He's a vendor on here.

That's what I recommend. We looked at a ton of TA, both LIW vendors and non-LIW vendors. AAA beat their quote by over 2K, and we were able to upgrade and add 5 nights (what we originally wanted, all the other agents were pushing us to a 10 day honeymoon).
I got the best quote from discount-all-inclusive.com, and I used them.

I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble with agents. They aren't always straightforward though, which is a shame. If you guys are in the city at all, we worked with Laurie at Liberty Travel, 57th & 3rd Avenue. The telephone is (212) 702-0111 (sorry, I don't have her email). Laurie rearranged our entire honeymoon for us in one day when a hurricane threatened to hit our original destination, and did a great job. We were very happy. We started with Lisa, who was good also, but she was on her own honeymoon when all of this happened.
