What did you book first? The venue or the church? I keep getting mixed opinions on this.

What did you book first?
We booked the Venue first. We took the chance that the church would have availability because we were so far out. Luckily, it worked out for us.

I totally agree with the above post! Venue first, but dont tell your church! I dont think churches have caught up on how quickly venues go on long island lol.

I was unsure to but I'm going to book the venue first to. Although I did call the church and told them to pencil us in for the day we want. I will be calling the church again soon though to book it officially.

Venue. And it was a good thing we did that because where our reception was decided which church we would use.

Venue! About 4 months ago and just booked the church this weekend. 2 things: some church's don't open their books until a year from your date which makes it nearly impossible to book it before your venue. Secondly, my personal experience the priest said 'what day were you thinking' I told him my date and said I really wasn't flexible and he didn't give me a hard time.

What did you book first?
We met with the venue first and got the quotes for certain weekends, then went and booked the church, then booked the venue. Can't believe that was over 6 months ago. Time flies!

The venue. But it's true...don't tell the church that. They're a little uptight on the subject lol

We booked the venue first, but the church was on hold for us. We would have booked the church first, but the priest wasn't able to meet with us for a few weeks and they require you to meet first.Welcome New Vendors
