what did you bring with you when you went dress shopping?

Did you bring shoes and pic's of dresses? Specific type of undergarment? I'm so confused and have nooooooo clue what to bring. I don't wanna print out like 300 pics of dresses...haha

well I had already purchased my shoes so I made the appt to show everyone my dress/order it after my shoes arrived just so I can get a picture of the whole package. You do not need your shoes at all though for trying on dresses. Most places will provide shoes for you or just don't wear any.

bring a strapless bra

wear full covered underwear (unless you don't care than thong away).

Water & Eat before you go (because trying on dresses can really tire you out)

I would bring a few pictures of styles you are interested in. If you even have specific dresses you can call up places to see if they have the sample for you or something similar for you to try on.

I brought a couple pictures of dresses to one place I went to.

Strapless bra (I didnt have this at one place and it was fine..we just pushed the straps down)

that's about it. Dont stress. I showed up clueless and with nothing basically!

I had a book of cut outs of dresses (from magazines) I liked, so I lugged that thing around. I always wore a strapless bra (except once, because I was 'tricked' into going).. thats all you really need, they have slips at the salons, and you dont know what size you'd need. if you have a specific shoe you want to wear, bring them too.

Thanks ladies. I feel so clueless. I'm seriously hoping I don't come across any pushy sales people....don't have the patience for it.

I wore a strapless bra and full coveragwe underwear. Definitely eat before going because trying on all the dresses makes you very hot and tired. Most of the places i went I didn't bring pictures I just told them what I was looked for and all of them pretty much nailed what I was looking for. They will also start to pull dresses and you can tell them which ones you like and don't like and they can usually pinpoint what you are looking for. Happy dress hunting!

In addition to what the PPs, bring an open mind. Don't rule out a dress based on how it looks on the hanger or because it's not a style you had previously considered. Sometimes, things look very different on you than they look on the hanger.

These are the three places I'm going to tomorrow:
Galit Couture, Monica's Bridal and Valentina's Bridal Salon. I alotted two hrs for each- hopefully that works!

I brought shoes, a strapless bra, full coverage nude underwear, and a few pics/style numbers of dresses I liked but I hardly used the pics of the dresses, especially the first time I went dress shopping.

I brought photos of dresses I liked and a note with designers' names and styles I like.

I wore a strapless and nude thong. I didn't bring shoes, but they provided a pair.

i just brought myself, moh and my mother.
i didnt know what i wanted, so i didnt bring pics, or shoes, or anyyyyything. i started from scratch and ended up tryin my dress on the first day i went shopping. and bought it about 3 weeks later


have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!

i would probably bring the bra you want to wear the day off, your shoes, and your DOJ and probably a camera to take pictures :)

i didn't know anything about what to bring when i went to my first dress shopping so i just brought myself and a camera. (this was before my liw days. hehe)

but if you could, bring a strapless bra and a shoe with the heel height that you prefer to wear for the day of.
