What did you do first? BM dresses or flowers?

I'm having trouble deciding on a color scheme and am wondering what I should do first. BM dresses or flowers? What did everyone else do?

Thats a good question I'm curious to know too. I just got engaged so I don't know which I'll do. In my mind I've been thikning what color BM dresses and then what color flowers would look well with it. I went to a paint shop and picked up a bunch of those paint chips to mix and match and get ideas.

I booked my florist first. I just have to bring in a swatch of the dress to determine what colors I want in the bo-ks. I told the florist the style of bo'ks I want, and I had an idea on the dress and color for the girls.

We chose the BM dresses first to see if the colors I liked looked nice in the fabric of the dresses we chose.

I booked the florist first, but I already knew what colors the dresses would be.

You don't have to know your colors when you hire your florist. You make final arrangements for colors about 2 months before the wedding.

I booked my florist first. Right now its too hard to get all my girls together.

I knew what color I wanted my girls dresses to be right from the start.. seriously it was the first thing I picked for the wedding

IMO if you have NO CLUE what color you want the girls in I would do dresses first. Its IMO more important they all look nice and good in a color before you start worrying about the flowers ( which I can tell you firsthand can be changed up until the week before your wedding!!!! ) Once you pick a color dress and its ordered you are stuck with it!!

I have a friend who is getting married and for months she kept saying her girls would be in gold dresses... she based alot of things around that flowers included. Well the girls went to order the dresses and realized no one looked good in that color!! they wound up with a totally different color and all the flowers had to be changed!

I ordered my BM dresses first this way I had a basis on what color flowers to go with....

We're going to pick the bm dresses first, as well as my dress to see what colors will coordinate well.

I already new what color I wanted for my girls even though at the time I didnt find there dresses but i did flowers first

well i did this backwards LOL i knew what flowers i wanted. soooo then i picked my gown which i still havent ordered yet ugh! and then i picked the girls color.
i am getting all black magic and black bacara roses for me and the girls. sooo i really wanted to color for the girls dresses to go with it. i did not want to pick red or wine because the colors would clash with the flowers.
so after months of loooking and trying on colors i picked a goldish color it is called euro taupe from bill levkoff.

I knew I wanted pink/apple green colors.. I ran it by the girls and they all agreed on apple green dresses.. I decided to book the flowers and then get the dresses.. Good Luck!

LMAO you chose well, my young paduan!

anyway, I choose the florist first, since I STILL haven't quite figured out what I want the color scheme to be!

like a few girls have said, you dont' have to pick the colors to pick your florist, so it really doesn't matter in that sense.

I have my florist booked but I'm not really sure about what kind of flowers I'm going with. I know I want the girls in lilac so I'm working on their dresses now. Get that 1st, then you pick the flowers to go with it.

I would get the dresses first so you can tell the florist what color the dresses are and theythey can come up with some nice color schemes for flowers-

I plan on picking the BM dress colors first then the flowers. I think I decided on Apple Green with maybe tangerine flowers.
