What did you do for your last Anniversary? Plus Poll

Soo our anniversary is coming up & I truly wanted to do something sweet-- even gift ideas I am all out of good ideas-- we always exchange a little gift & card still monthly <33 but this is a big one... for valentines day I got us an all day couples package at a spa including champagne --food & desserts... that was nice but I have no ideaa what to buy him or do for our anniversary-- helpp ladies--

We went to the Dominican Republic for our last anniversary. As a gift, He's an artist and i'm a graphic artist so i made him a 'resume booklet' of all his art pieces.

aw thats a cutee idea... I wishh we could go awayy-- I am in my last semester in college so that would never work maybe we could go away for a day like fly somewhere not too far and come back-- Im not sure hmmmmmm any other ideas??

First anniversary we went to Phantom of the Opera on Broadway (b/c one year prior to that our first date was seeing the film!)
Second anniversary we did a couple's spa day
Third anniversary we got engaged!

maybe a day trip, upstate somewhere, Rhinebeck? Maybe some of the Winerys near Warwick. Or just dinner @ a nice restaurant.

I voted 'elegant dinner' which is what we usually do, but actually our last anniv was our 5 year, and I talked him into taking Friday off from work and we went to Vegas for Labor Day weekend which overlapped with our anniv! We booked the trip one week before and had a great time

we don't usually go really over the top though.

thanks i thought this would be a good idea as well-- but i think he would set it up-- any ideas on a gift idea ladies-?

we had dinner at The garden city hotel and then stayed there over night. it was nice- but the rooms were not what I expected for the price. the bathrooms were similar to that of a Holiday Inn. But the beds were comfy!

The food at the restaurant was awesome though!!!

It's a little cold for lots of things now...

Florida is $79, but usually on weekdays. Weekends Jet blue will cost you a tad bit more (like $300). This is each way to either Ft Lauderdale or Miami.

Windham is a great idea: you can go tubing, check out ice-skating & so on. Really great if you are skiiers/snowboarders. It's not cheap though...

I like going to Newport...there's a winery there, some scenic drives, nice restaurants, cute town, historic houses and a submarine close-by. Mohegan sun is on the way.

Rhinebeck is GREAT....I'm surprised to see that up here. I go in the fall...go apple/pumpkin picking & go up to their country fair. I LOVE country fairs.

Think about stuff he likes...& go from there.

thanks so much ladies for all the input... as for the whole skiing... neither of us like it & we hate cold weather & had enough by now lol... I also thought of the watch gift but he is not a watch person and if I were to buy a watch it would be a lot more money than I around $500 (what im looking to spend give or take) any other gift ideas ladies

u could also just do a nice dinner. Out east, the cooperidge inn is really nice. and in bayport the Bayport House is WONDERFUL. good luck!
