From engagement party, shower, etc? We got a ton of gifts for our e party and I opened pretty much everything.. and have been using everything. We don't plan on staying in our apartment and I am not sure what I am going to do with new gifts that I have gotten (unopened) and shower gifts.. are you saving them until you buy a house? what to do!

We dont live togehter... but with the presetns we got in out Eparty we are saving them TIL we live together...
Things we gent in our E party we will most likely use like Half of them.. and save some... depends...

my mom now has a 'wedding room' in her apartment...it was my old bedroom. It has a combo of wedding things (flip flop basket, shoes, etc) and also gifts that we dont want to use right now (toasting flutes, good china etc). All the gifts will stay there until we get a house - or until we have room in our apt for it

Thank goodness we have a guest room and a basement.... (although no one could possibly stay in the guest room for a longggggggg time, it's filled with wedding crap!) hahahah

FIL's were nice enough to less us store our goodies in their basement. I know my mom wouldn't have taken all of that. I also know that a lot of them will prob stay with FIL's til we buy a house b/c an apt can't hold all our gifts

we left everything at my mom's house after the shower and I took some stuff home little by little and packed up the old/in with the new. There is still a few more things in her basement but nothing we need right away. All the old stuff we have packed up in her basement and we are either going to have a family garage sale to get rid of some of it or when we get a house we'll have move it over (who knows - maybe it will come of use down the line).

Our engagement gifts are all in a closet in my parents' house as well as shower gifts. My FH has things at his house as well. We're not doing anything with the gifts until we get married and find a place to live.

We got a lot of gifts for our engagement even though we didn't have a party. We put those in our guest bedroom of our apartment. The shower gifts are split between my bedroom at my parents' house and the hallway of our apartment. The boxes are stacked and lined the entire length of the hall!
We are not opening and using the gifts until after we are married and we have a house. I want to start our new life together with new stuff in a new house! :)

ours are all unopened sitting in our closet until we move after the wedding to an apt with a larger kitchen because our apt now doesnt have any counter space. Hopefully fh and i will figure out if we want to stay in new york so we can look for a house

We're paying for a storage unit from all our stuff from our apartment and any gifts from eparty and shower will go there also. Ugh I cant wait to get a house!!!
