I got woken up to breakfast in bed ...french toast and bacon.
Also my 8 yr old made me a cute frame in school!
DH got me a gc for a spa day at Maximus....and my best friend(DH's sister, MOH ) will also get one from her hubby and so will my other friend (other SIL and BM)
so it will be a girls day of beauty together
I am impressed they planned all of this

I got flowers and a mom to be card from DH (and a little stuffed giraffe) ; my mom & stepfather gave me a mom to be card and a plant for outside; my brother, his girlfriend & my niece gave me a card and gift card to Motherhood Maternity. I also received some mom to be cards from other family members.

I got a card from DH that said 'Happy Mothers Day...to my wife, NOT my mother' and on the inside it said 'Thanks for taking care of me'

and a card from the dogs and the new Rob Thomas CD

I had to get up and go to my MIL's!
But anyway, I got beautiful cards from my DH and my son, my son also made me his own card which was soooo sweet, and I got gift cards to the maternity store in riverhead outlets, and a box of Godiva chocolate. My mom got me some PJ's and bath and body lotions. My MIL gave me money.

I had a communion for Dhs cousin. Mykids slept at my MIL so I was able to sleep. I slept till 8:30. got a nice card from hubby and a wonderful letter from him that made me cry. He gave it to me before we had to pcik up the kids. I got a homemade flower and a silk rose from my older boy who hid my gifts on his desk in plain site. Shows how obsevernt I am

I got a beautiful card and a dozen roses from DH. He also gave me a mini-shopping spree at Express the other day.

My MIL gave me $50 and a very sweet card.

My mom ignored me (except for a call) and went to visit my SIL in NJ instead :( HUMPH!

I got a card and money from ILs. A nice mommie to be card from a friend and lots of phone calls. I was so surprised that 2 of DH's friends even called me.

Now I was a little disappointed with DH. He told me Happy Mother's day in the car on the way to Lowe's only after the guy on the radio said it to listeners. I told him it was so unsincere and felt like it was an after thought. He said he bought me a card but he misplaced it (I know he did bc I saw it). I never expected a gift, but a more sincere acknowledgement would have been nice.

I got lots of phone calls wishing the mommy to be Happy Mother's Day...I got flowers and a card from DH and Baby Boy....My sister got me Jenny McCarthys book...Mom got me a few cute shirts....MIL got me tulips

My first mothers day was so nice. DH got me a card with a sweet note and a gift certificate for a 1 hour massage (I cant wait!!)...and I got to go to lunch with my mom and sister who also got me flowers and a bunch of mothers day lottos!! But most of all having a nice relaxing day with my baby was best of all!

DH is too superstitious and refuses to celebrate anything until the baby is born, so NADA from him. BUT, I got the sweetest, sweetest mother's day card from a friend, and my mom sent me a bouquet...

My 1st mother's day was a bust. All I did was work, work, work (cleaning the house and cooking) for my inlaws. I got a generic card from MIL and a hard time from FIL. They live 20 minutes away and this was the first time in five months that he's seen Amber. She freaked when he picked her up. Then he looks at me and says 'What's her problem? She doesn't remember me??' all pissed off. Yeah, duh. She sees her Pappy every other day (my dad). Then she started crying later on (cutting another tooth) and he was like 'How typical that's she's like every other female' and walked away from her. I wanted to kick the old man. He's all grumpy and miserable because his star child and grandsons moved to Florida!!! He makes no effort at all to connect with Amber at all, yet she loves her other Grandpa to pieces. He's always doing stuff for her; playing with her, etc. And my father is NOT baby-oriented at all. I was so disgusted with MIL, FIL and DH I told him I was giving him the gift of silence on Father's Day and I was going to take a day trip with the baby. No way am I entertaining those old farts.

I got some nice things from my neighbors (flowers, a little sign for outside) and $50.00 from Mom. Thanks Mom!! I got alot of calls too. One hysterical call was from DH's ex-SIL (who Inlaws HATE!) while they were there. Too bad I didn't have them pick up the phone!

I had a great first mother's day. Kevin and DH woke up early (DH let me sleep in) and DH made me pecan banana pancakes with bacon for breakfast. He had flowers on the table. In baby's car seat was soem great cards, white gold sparkly hoops and a I love my mommy children's book. My mommy got me roses and some more flowers. And a friends send me a pretty plant. It was very nice!

Emily bought me a mug and mouse pad with her beautiful picture on it. It said 'I love you Mommy'. DH bought me a mini ipod. I love it! He also had a bbq for inlaws and parents. He sent me beautiful flowers too! He is such a great guy! It was a very nice and mellow day. I loved it!

My DH and my son made breakfast for me (well attempted at least, I think it was my DH's first time in the kitchen ) then I got a pair of earrings and a necklace from the kids and cards from them and my DH and then I got flowers from both my Mom and my MIL along with picture frames from my MIL that said Mommy and Me on them ( she made them!) and my best friend had her baby at 1am on Mothers day! We went for a ride on the beach and just hung out together all day - I loved it!!
