What did you give fh for a wedding gift?

I want to give him something that will last forever..but I just cant think of anything...I was thinking of a diamond watch, with a card or engraving that says ' I will love you til the end of time' but is that just too cheesey?

Same with me...we were broke by the time the wedding came around

Us too, but we are getting a flat panel TV for each other as a wedding/Christmas gift

Mine was a unique gift. I had problems trying to give him something to engrave. He has 3 really nice watches from weddings he was in. Never wears them. He specifically asked to not have cufflinks because he never wears them. I wanted to give him something he could pass down to our son, like a pocket watch. But I was so sick that the doctors didn't know if I'd ever have a child. I was out of your normal options.

So I got him the charcoal grill he's always wanted. He hugged it. His friends said I was so cool.

I plan on giving my FH an insert from my journal (which he so desperately wants to read, be careful.....) on the first day I realized he was the one! I'm gonna frame it and have his brother give it to him the day of.

This is by far, my favorite. How sweet is that?!

I am getting him the cigar roller for the day of our wedding (he does not know about it) and I got him a flat screen tv that he wanted for our bedroom.

fh didn't have nice set of cufflings..so i got him a pair engraved from Tiffany's..they were really nice and pretty reasonable.

We didn't get gifts before because we really didn't have the cash. So while we were on our honeymoon we found matching Movado watches and bought those as our gifts to each other.

Then two months later when we got our dog, we said that was our wedding gift to each other too

Instead of actually giving personal gifts, we bought eachother a 42' plasma tv, that we will watch together as husband and wife.

We were paying for our entire wedding ourselves...so getting him a gift had to be unique and affordable. He wasn't wearing a tux and he has plenty of watches. So I decided to monogram a handkerchief with our date and the engravement from our rings...'Home is with you'

But what made it unique was that it was material from the dress I was wearing when we first met...it didn't fit anymore anyway. What was so surprising was that as soon as he opened it...he knew exactly where it was from and that was 11 years ago!!!
